6 rules
Towny
Claims, borders, settlement leadership and fair political conflict between Towns.
Respect Town Claims and Borders
Do not grief, steal from, sabotage, or deliberately interfere with land belonging to another Town unless a server mechanic, war, or agreement specifically permits it.
Do Not Abuse Claims
Claims must serve a genuine settlement, building, resource, or development purpose. Claim blocking, surrounding another Town, creating deliberately awkward borders, or using claims purely to inconvenience other players is prohibited.
Respect Settlement Distance and Expansion
Towns must follow any required settlement distances and expansion restrictions. Do not deliberately expand toward another Town purely to prevent its reasonable growth or provoke border disputes.
Do Not Exploit Towny Mechanics
Do not repeatedly join, leave, create, dissolve, rename, or transfer Towns or Nations to avoid upkeep, wars, restrictions, punishments, cooldowns, or other intended mechanics.
Town Leaders Are Responsible for Their Settlements
Mayors and other Town leadership are expected to reasonably manage their members, claims, permissions, and shared property. Leadership does not give permission to scam members, abuse Town permissions, or deliberately destroy communal property without legitimate reason.
Town Conflicts Must Remain Fair and In-Game
Political rivalry, territorial disputes, wars, embargoes, alliances, and betrayal are allowed where server mechanics permit them. However, players may not use Towny politics as justification for harassment, rule-breaking, targeted griefing, or exploiting mechanics outside the intended conflict.
