Economy

Chest Shop limits, scams, player-set prices and rules against exploit-generated wealth.

Chest Shops Are Limited by Origin

Players may operate a maximum of 3 Chest Shops at any one time. Players with the Burgher Origin are exempt from this limit and may operate an unlimited number of Chest Shops.

Players Are Responsible for Their Own Trades

Players are expected to check prices, items, quantities, agreements, and shop information before completing a transaction. Staff will generally not reverse trades simply because somebody made a bad deal or later regretted it.

Scamming Is Allowed

Dishonest deals, misleading prices, bad investments, false promises, and other player-to-player scams are permitted as part of the player economy. However, scams may not involve bugs, exploits, hacked clients, impersonating staff, real-world threats, or other violations of server rules.

Prices Are Determined by Players

Staff will not normally regulate prices or intervene because an item is considered too expensive, too cheap, overvalued, or undervalued. Players are free to negotiate, undercut competitors, resell goods, speculate on resources, and compete for control of markets.

Do Not Deliberately Sabotage the Server Economy

Economic competition is allowed, but behaviour whose primary purpose is to cause large-scale damage to the server economy may be investigated. This includes deliberately flooding markets through abnormal or illegitimate supply, coordinated manipulation using alternate accounts, fake transactions intended to distort systems, or other actions designed primarily to destabilise the economy rather than participate in it.

Do Not Circumvent Economic Restrictions

Alternate accounts, other players, Towns, Chest Shops, or similar systems may not be used to bypass shop limits, profession restrictions, cooldowns, NPC limits, taxes, or other economic mechanics.

Exploit-Generated Wealth Is Prohibited

Money, items, resources, or other wealth obtained through duplication, bugs, unintended mechanics, automation, or other exploits may be removed. Knowingly trading, laundering, or distributing exploit-generated wealth is also prohibited.
