PvP

When combat is allowed, and where repeated targeting crosses into harassment.

PvP Is Generally Allowed

Players may attack and kill other players unless they are within an area, event, or situation where PvP is specifically prohibited. Consent is not required for every individual fight.

Do Not Repeatedly Target the Same Player

Killing someone repeatedly over a short period, following them solely to kill them again, or continually hunting a player who is clearly trying to disengage may be considered harassment.

Spawn Killing and Respawn Camping Are Prohibited

Do not wait at spawn points, homes, beds, teleport destinations, or similar locations for the purpose of repeatedly killing players as they return.

PvP Must Not Prevent Someone From Playing

PvP becomes unacceptable when its primary effect is preventing another player from reasonably travelling, building, gathering resources, accessing their settlement, or otherwise participating in the server.

Political and Roleplay Conflict May Include PvP

Wars, rivalries, territorial disputes, bounties, betrayals, and other legitimate in-game conflicts may result in repeated PvP. However, an in-game conflict does not justify indefinite targeting, harassment, or carrying personal disputes into gameplay.

Do Not Exploit Safe Zones or PvP Protections

Do not abuse Towny borders, protected regions, teleportation, combat logging, immunity periods, or other mechanics to attack players while avoiding the intended consequences of combat.

Players Who Re-Engage Accept Continued Combat

If a player returns after dying and attacks, threatens, pursues, or otherwise re-enters the same confrontation, the opposing player may continue defending themselves and fighting them. Repeated deaths caused by repeatedly choosing to re-engage are not considered harassment by themselves.
