The Kingdom of the Whitemere

A hereditary lakeside monarchy under House Swann

The Whitemere is a hereditary monarchy ruled by House Swann, centred on the capital of Whitemere and shaped by the religious identity of the Faith of the Lake.

Overview

The Whitemere presents itself as a kingdom of continuity and symbolism. Its swan imagery, pale colours and devotional associations make it one of the more visually distinctive player-led realms of the new age.

House Swann

The ruling dynasty is House Swann, and the sovereign bears the title of Swann King. The line’s prestige is tied closely to the realm’s capital and to the sacred language of the lake-faith that defines the kingdom’s public character.

Faith and identity

Unlike kingdoms shaped primarily by expansion or conquest, the Whitemere’s identity appears deeply rooted in ritual, place and dynastic memory. The Faith of the Lake gives the realm a spiritual tone that sets it apart from its neighbours.

Present role

The surviving summary presents the Whitemere as active and enduring, but intentionally leaves room for future development. It stands as one of the kingdoms still clearly alive in the post-400 AS world.
